Yes, you can guess from the title that my yogurt bowls are back with a vengeance! It’s been a little while since they’ve made an appearance on the blog, but I definitely had a very special one today. But we’ll get to that in a minute. First things first!
Today is Day 3 of Best Body Boot Camp, and I’m actually excited that it’s a strength day. Yesterday was a cardio day, and can you believe I was disappointed that I wouldn’t be doing any strength exercises? Perhaps, I’m turning over a new leaf!
Before we get to the main event today, I wanted to show you what I picked up at the library last weekend.

I know all my Downton Abbey fans will be intrigued. Yes, I said that I was going to start Dr. Zhivago as soon as I finished up the last Plum novel, but when I saw this in the library, I couldn’t resist. I’ve rapidly become obsessed with all things Downton Abbey. I even came across this yesterday, and I think it should definitely be the new addition to my wardrobe. What do you think?

Now it’s time for one of the funnest parts of the week! I love seeing all the yummy things that people post for What I Ate Wednesday. Maybe one of these days something will inspire me out of my routine!
Breakfast this morning was, of course, oatmeal, but it has been so good lately. It’s become my favorite meal of the day because of two special ingredients I’ve been adding. Remember this?
I picked up this jar from Trader Joe’s a few months ago, and I was saving it until I finished up a few of the half eaten peanut butter jars I had everywhere. I finally broke into this right after Christmas, and I’ve been adding it to my oatmeal in place of the peanut butter. So, so good! I’ve also realized in the last few months that Honeycrisp apples are my new favorite, and my grocery store has finally started stocking them! Between the Cookie Butter and the apple, breakfast is definitely a meal for champions!
Last night was beans and cornbread night in the Ford house, so a small dish made an appearance for lunch today. I paired it with my ham and cheese pita. Nothing terribly exciting, but it sure was good!
Now, let’s talk about how awesome Chobani is for second. You guys know I’m a huge fan of my yogurt bowls, and while I was in the grocery store stocking up last weekend I spotted this.
I remembered hearing back in the fall that they were coming out with some new flavors, and I was particularly excited to try the pear and the banana. I mixed up the pear Chobani with an apple (Honeycrisp, of course!), Craisins, and some Love Grown granola this afternoon, and wow. This was delicious! I haven’t been this excited about yogurt since I discovered how much I love the strawberry-banana flavor. Seriously, go try this immediately! I also picked up the banana flavor, and I can’t wait to try it later in the week.
We’re having breakfast for dinner tonight so in lieu of pictures of what I’m sure will be a fantastic omelet, I’ll share a special weekend dinner we had on Saturday. John likes to cook, but since he doesn’t exactly make the healthiest things on the planet, I don’t let him do it very often. There is one dish, however, that is strictly his. I wouldn’t think of trying to take it over! John loves to make chili, and he’s been perfecting it for almost as long as I’ve known him. We try to have it several times during the colder months, and we decided Saturday was a chili kind of night.
Topped with ketchup (Yes, I did! Don’t judge!) and cheese, this bowl of chili was pretty good. Unfortunately, there’s one thing wrong with it. John’s chili is always way too hot for me! I can only ever eat one bowl. He’s working on making it more Nat-friendly
.
Ok, folks, it’s time to get my workout on! See you tomorrow!
Have you tried the new Chobani flavors yet? What have you been reading lately?

Hold the phone, pear flavored Chobani!?!!! Where in the world can I get me some of that!! So excited to see that flavor!
That was kind of my reaction as well
It was delicious!
DOWNTON, DOWNTON, DOWNTON!! I saw that book in B&N a few weeks ago, and that t-shirt it hilarious–I actually LOLed.
hey ketchup can go on anything, I am a huge lover over here.
Agreed! It makes (just about) everything better
I still haven’t tried cookie butter! I know I’m missing out:)
Oh, you have to! It’s ridiculous!
Obsessed with cookie butter! Haven’t tried the pear Chobani! Where have I been???
No worries-Saturday was the first time I had seen it. I think they’re just now starting to roll out the new flavors.
Yumms! chobani pear sounds fantastic, must try!
It was really, really good! I think I’m going to give the new banana a go today!
So jealous of all the yum Greek yogurt flavors available in the US! We only have the plain one here so I’ve been flavoring it with honey, applesauce, peanut butter, or chocolate protein powder
!
That’s probably the healthier way to go
I still haven’t developed a taste for plain Greek yogurt, but I haven’t tried many mix-ins so maybe I need to experiment!
The chocolate coffee chobani minis are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wanted to try those after I saw them on your blog the other day, but I haven’t seen them in the stores yet! I think I may have to try the better grocery stores in Ft. Smith if I get over there this weekend!
It’s so great that you’re loving the strength workouts! There’s something about a great strength workout that makes you feel so accomplished. And I haven’t seen the pear flavor yet, now I need to be on the lookout!!
It really does. After I published last night, I did the second strength workout. Holy cow! I’m feeling it today!
Cookie butter is the greatest thing on earth! Chili is a close second
I agree on both counts!
COOKIE BUTTER?! How have I never seen this? Thanks for sharing it with me so I can go freak out and hunt down a jar
You must try it!! As far as I know, they only sell it at Trader Joe’s.
Cookie butter is going to be the first thing I buy when trader joes opens near me in a few weeks. I am still on a honey crisp kick too and see no end in sight. Sooooo good!
Can’t wait to see if you love it as much as I do! Oh, I haven’t had Honey Crisp in forever! Love those!
I saw cookie butter at trader joes the other day! Everyone in line was raving about it…I might go back for some! No shame in the ketchup, I used to do that on my eggs haha. SoFitandSoGreen.blogspot.com
You definitely should go get some! And I still do that to my eggs
Never thought to add the Speculoos to my oatmeal! Another great idea, Natalie. I love that Team Isobel shirt!
I know! It may be the only “Team” shirt I’ll ever want to wear in my life
Well I’ve just discovered your delightful blog and am enjoying every minute of exploring it. One thing I am finding rather fascinating is that your dear followers are avid commenters (which rocks!) but no one clicks Like. I get to offer a first Like, and then cheer on your yummy posts with a 28th or 37th comment! Cool! I’m going to look for Chobani yogurt, and your pita looks so good, with the spinach and pickles! Cheers, Gina
Thank you so much for stopping by! My readers do rock, and I’m more than excited to welcome you! You’ll find out very quickly that I am a creature of habit-Chobani and those pitas make a very regular appearance around here!

Ahhh! I see that Speculoos butter everytime I’m in TJs, but I won’t let myself buy it because I know that I’ll eat the whole thing at once! It looks so delicious!
Oh, Alex, you should give in one time. It’s so good!
