Welcome to Wednesday! I’m making it through the week although my energy levels aren’t quite recovered from my crazy weekend. That’s okay, though, because the next weekend is just around the corner! Unfortunately, our hiking plans have once again been changed due to scheduling conflicts (I’m trying hard to stay positive about it), and I think the back-up plan may be house projects. You know I’m thrilled about that. But, hey, I think it may mean I’m getting closet doors
We have a few other things in the works, and, honestly, it’ll be kind of nice to relax. Hopefully, hiking will happen in the next few weeks. I know many of you haven’t had the pleasure of going on a backpacking trip, and I’m dying to give you a snapshot of how it all works!
It’s time for What I Ate Wednesday! Thanks to Jenn for hosting our blogger link-up. Have you ever looked to see all the bloggers that participate? It’s truly amazing how many there are! I’m thinking I may need to peruse a few of them for inspiration. I’m definitely a creature of habit, and when I find something that I like, I stick with it forever. Which is a perfect segue to breakfast
Oatmeal! I stirred in half a tablespoon of my Peanut Butter & Co. Mighty Maple. I’m almost to the end of the jar so you know that means oats in a jar is just around the corner! This bowl, as always, was topped with a Gala apple and some Craisins. It must be apple season-this last batch of apples I bought have been delicious.
It was a busy day at school so by the time I finally got to eat lunch around 12:30 I was starving. Today I brought along a salad topped with carrots, veggie chips, honey mustard, and my beloved feta. I seriously have a love affair with the stuff, and I would use it more except guess who doesn’t like it? I tell ya-living with a picky eater is a challenge! Along with my salad, I had a pita with sour cream, spinach, turkey, cheese, and pickles. This is seriously my favorite lunch combo!
I’ve been wanting to show you guys this for a few weeks. I found this in the grocery store and decided to give it a try. I’m very glad I did. This is delicious, and I definitely recommend getting a box if your a tea connoisseur.
Do you know what’s coming next? I’ll give you three guesses
Yogurt bowl! I’m still working my way through my Chobani stash. I seriously think it may be the best thing I’ve ever gotten in the mail! Today’s flavor was raspberry with my usual mix-ins of banana chips, Love Grown granola, an apple, and Craisins. Speaking of granola, look what I stocked up on when I was home last weekend.
All is right with the world again.
This was last night’s dinner, and every time I make it I wonder why we don’t have tacos more often. I opted to do a taco salad instead of using the shells, and it was awesome! The best part is it was a lot healthier than it looks.
That’s today’s (and some of yesterday’s!) eats. I hope you guys had an equally delicious day
See you tomorrow!
What made your day delicious?

Natalie, can you please come to NYC and take me “hiking” in Central Park? That’s a good beginner path, right?
I had Chobani today, too–great minds think alike! And now I’m totally craving taco salad. I can’t remember the last time I had tacos; that will have to change this weekend.
The taco salad was amazing! But you must find some mango salsa to go on top-it totally made it!
I would love to come take you hiking in Central Park! Mark your calendar-if all goes according to plan, I’ll be there next November
YES!!
Everything looks uh-may-zzzing!! The oats with pb, apple, and craisins..I could go for a bowl right now lol. Your salad combos are quite unique, I must say
The PB and Co. Mighty Maple sounds amaziing! Especially with oatmeal:)
It is so good! Of all the flavors I’ve tried from their company, it’s definitely my favorite!
goodness gracious that tea looks amazing, I have never seen that flavor. I am a creature of habit and eat roughly the same stuff each week. lame but i am a cheapo.
It really is good! I was pretty pleasantly surprised. I don’t naturally gravitate to hot tea-I’m Southern so iced tea is my thing! But I’m definitely developing a taste for the hot stuff!
Ohmygoodness!! You know how much I love maple, and how much I love PB … to have the two combined in one?! BEST PRODUCT KNOWN TO MANKIND!!! And pumpkin tea??! Pretty much the ultimate find!! You’ve been holding out on us — trying to buy it all before the world finds out about it and the prices go up??
Loving the look of your yogurt bowls. I think I might just test my stomach on greek yogurt in the next little while, see if it can tolerate it (fingers crossed!!).
Oh! What is your favourite Love Grown flavour?? It’s on my list of treats to try, and I want to know which one I should try first!
I’m typically a creature of habit, but my habits are a-changin’!!
Email on it’s way!! Promise!!!!! xo
Oh no, you caught on to my master plan
I actually picked that peanut butter flavor up when I was in Dallas with my mom over the summer. I will now make it my mission to find you a jar to send! I haven’t tried all the Love Grown flavors yet, but so far my favorite is the Cranberry Pecan. It’s so good!
My roommate had taco salad for dinner the other night and I’ve been craving it ever since! I think it needs to happen this weekend for sure. I’m totally a creature of habit too but lately I’ve been wanting to switch things up. I don’t want to say it but, I’m thinking I might be getting sick of Chobani??? Ok no. That can’t be true. But I’m definitely in need of some new snack ideas!
Oh no, you didn’t!!
I definitely go through phases too when I get sick of stuff and have to change it up, but so far the Chobani habit is sticking around. I’ve been eating it as a snack for so long I can’t even come up with any other options. Do you like bars? I recently stocked up on Luna bars and there are some pretty amazing flavors!
Oh my goodness, I want some of that sweet harvest pumpkin tea. I looked the other day for new fall flavors, but didn’t find any yet. I’ll check again!
It is so good! They also had two different apple flavors that are on my list next!
I love your yogurt bowl haha. And now I’m craving some oatmeal. I always do almond milk and cereal but oatmeal sounds juuuust right to me.
Well, if your temps are anything like ours are today, a warm bowl of oatmeal will probably hit the spot!
What a delicious day! I love sprinkling something crunchy into my yogurt bowls – granola is a great pick!
I am in love with granola! In fact, I’ve found a couple “new to me” granolas lately that I can’t put down!
