I can’t believe it’s Wednesday again! Pardon me for a second while I sound like an old person, but does anyone else feel like life is flying by? It’s going to be Christmas before we know it (no complaints there!)! I guess it’s a good thing I’m really enjoying life lately

Because it’s already Wednesday again, you know what time it is-What I Ate Wednesday! Our lovely host is Jenn from Peas and Crayons. I hope you all make a point to check out some of the link-ups over at her blog. It’s a great way to see what yummy food is circulating around the web today!
I was really excited for breakfast this morning because I knew I had something hiding in the pantry that I had saved for just this occasion-an empty peanut butter jar! I finally went through my jar of Cinnamon Raisin from Peanut Butter & Co., and was ready to have a slightly different breakfast this morning. I put peanut butter in my oatmeal every morning, but this is so much better for some reason. I have no idea why. Perhaps it’s because I have an internal age of 5 and novelties still excite me.
I added in an addition scoop of the Dark Chocolate peanut butter I got last week at Whole Foods, and topped it with an apple. The jar trapped the heat from the oatmeal and cooked the apples a bit. I definitely recommend you guys trying this combo. It was so good!
Some days work is so busy that lunch time sneaks up on me, and others I’m so hungry I feel like I glance at my computer clock every thirty seconds just waiting for it come around. Today was definitely a watch the clock kind of day. I was starving!
As soon as it was time, I built my wrap and heated up some soup. Since the weather has turned a little chilly, I’ve been craving soup. This is Progresso’s Italian Meatball. It’s one of my favorites. My wrap included sour cream, ham, cheese, spinach, and pickles. I put it all on a spinach tortilla type thing that I also got at Whole Foods last week. I don’t believe I showed you guys this particular purchase.
They’re pretty good, but, even if I had the opportunity, I’m not sure I’d buy them again. They’re kind of tough. You gotta try new things though
You guys know what’s coming next. Snack time is the same as always, and I am not ashamed for being a creature of habit in this case!
Yogurt bowl! Today’s flavor was Chobani Apple Cinnamon with my ususal mix-ins: apple, banana chips, Craisins, and Love Grown granola. Incidentally, I am almost out of my Love Grown and it’s going to be a sad day. Hopefully, I can stock up when I go home to visit next week!
Dinner is going to be this:
We are a household that likes Hamburger Helper. Yes, I know that’s a shameful secret I shouldn’t talk about. I use to make it about once a month. I didn’t do it more often because I knew it wasn’t the best thing to be putting in our bodies. The more I got to thinking about it, the more I came to realization that it’s not something we should probably ever eat so I stopped making it all together about a year ago. Well, last week I found this at Whole Foods (look how long the Whole Foods goodness is lasting!), and decided we had to try it! Tonight is the test. We’ll see if it’s as good as our old Hamburger Helper. Either way, I can at least be satisfied that it’s not bad for us (or as bad anyway!).
Well, I must go. I’m late for a very important date. Jillian is calling, and since I’ve been a bit of failure at the yoga challenge this week, I need to get with it before I have to report to you guys later this week. Have a great evening!

Everyone is doing this oatmeal in an empty pb jar, I need to get on this bandwagon! So funny, growing up I used to love hamburger helper and would beg my mom to make it growing up, let me know how the whole foods version is! I might just have to test it out! And last thing! Where is your love grown granola from?! I can’t find it anywhere!
I feel your pain-I can’t get Love Grown anywhere around here! I actually found a Kroger in Dallas around where my dad lives that carries it. He’s been supplying me!
Kelsey, overnight oats in a jar are so good! I used to think it was kinda of cooky, but it’s a great combo!
Mmm oats in a jar! Soooo good.
Yes they are! It’s too bad you have to wait so long to get to the end of a jar!
First of all — NO SHAME!! EVER!! Eat what you want and what you love! You eat healthily, you should NEVER, EVER let a little HH make you feel shamed or guilty.
xo
That being said — I am SO jealous of your PB flavours. Ohmygoodness. Like. Intensely jealous.
Kudos for trying new things.
Oh. And email coming your way!! Hope that you and Jilly had a lovely date!
My date was lovely, thank you! Just read your email. Stand-by for a follow-up
Oh goodness – I have that Peanut Butter – it is SO good. I’m a nut butter a holic for sure.
I’ve become one since I discovered that company! Love all their flavors. I have their maple one right now as well and I think it’s my favorite
Hamburger helper is not shameful at all! Tons of people eat them because of their convenience and because they do taste good. Most people eat those for every meal though, and you are balancing them out with super healthy meals. Food looks great!
Thanks! I think it’s interesting that as a healthy living blogger, I sometimes feel pressure to be super healthy all the time. Thanks for the reminder that it’s all about moderation
Cinnamon raisin swirl?? Why have I never had this??
It’s amazing!! It’s from Peanut Butter & Co. They have a restaurant in NYC that’s nothing but variations on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I just happened to catch something about them on the Travel Channel about a year ago and was immediately intrigued. Luckily, there is one grocery store about thirty minutes from me that carries their products!
Cinnamon Raisin PB CO is EPIC!! oh gosh that is one of my favorites
So good!! It’s probably my second favorite. I think my heart belongs to their Maple flavor!
YUM! Love your healthy snacks. Everyone seems to be very into Chobani these days but true confession, I can’t get into it! I like it baked into things and as a topping but I can’t seem to eat it raw.
I used to be that way about Greek yogurt. It was just too thick for me. But I tried Chobani and it’s actually a Greek yogurt I like. Maybe you could try some other flavors? I’m definitely picky about it and there are some flavors that I’ve not been crazy about. Apple Cinnamon is really good and so is Pomegranate.
i kept seeing you commenting on the exact same blogs as me so I had to check you out! Glad I found your blog and can’t wait to continue reading
Alex, thank you so much! It’s really nice of you to stop by, and I’m heading over right now to check your blog out
I see that PB everytime I’m at the grocery store but I refuse to buy it because I don’t trust myself to have it in the house
That’s so funny that you loved Hamburger helper! I was the total opposite, whenever my mom made it in high school I hated it! haha, that Whole Foods version looks good though! Cinnamon raisin peanut butter. SO good. And I’m jealous of your yogurt bowl! I need to start mixing some more add-ins into mine instead of just granola!
Well, I might should clear up the Hamburger Helper thing-I only like certain flavors! The Whole Foods version was really good. I’m starting to kick myself for not bringing leftovers for lunch today! I love the add-ins in yogurt. It really does put it over the top. Fair warning though-I am now seriously addicted to banana chips. I go through an entire bag in about a day and a half!
I totally agree, this year is flying by, it’s craziness. All your food looks great!
Thanks, Rebecca! I really did have some yummy eats yesterday. Love days like that!
Those spinach wraps looks delicious!!
They really were pretty good once I stuffed it with all my stuff. I would’ve preferred them to be slightly less tough overall though!
