….I love toast and jam. Ok, I won’t finish the rest of that little jingle so I don’t leave you all with mystery meat on your mind! Although my Papa says that the mystery meat in question has always gotten a bad rap. I’ll take his word for it 😉 But I digress! What I really want to talk to you guys about today is bread. Yummy, scrumptious peanut butter bread to be exact.
Yesterday evening I was in the mood to do some baking. Baking is one of my favorite things to do, and it’s especially nice when I’m baking something healthy that I can eat with very little guilt! I browsed through my Pinterest board (which I’m determined to cook my way through) and realized that I had all the ingredients to make Jenna’s Peanut Butter Bread. I quickly assembled everything and it was in the oven less than fifteen minutes after the baking mood struck. The house smelled delicious! In fact, that was the first thing out of John’s mouth when he walked in the door.
I didn’t make enough changes to the recipe to repost. I did, however, have to use a mixture of peanut butters because I was running out of plain ‘ol chunky. I did about half a cup of called for chunky peanut butter and a 1/4 of cup of this magic stuff….
If you have access to the Peanut Butter & Co.’s products, you’ve got to try them! I discovered this company about a year ago and I’ve loved every flavor I’ve tried (which is most of them). I believe the maple flavor in the bread will go great with some of the pumpkin butter that’s hanging in my fridge 😉
Well, I’m off! The husband just walked in and he’s promised me a date night. Happy Weekend!
